I am an IB grade 11 student and for my Personal Project i decided to focus on giving back to my community and students who are in need of help, Leading to my idea of creating a website that will help with revision and overviews on challenging topics of biology and chemistry.
initial research / idea:
What I want to do is create a website similar to a social media account, to share short 1-3 minute mostly powerpoint based videos, or explanation paragraphs, mind maps, and much more explaining certain topics in biology or chemistry and make them as entertaining and simple to my audience as possible. I chose to do this project because aside from being my biggest passion it is a great opportunity to combine my individual passions for research and science for a good cause that can be very beneficial to my future but most importantly others. While designing this project I thought about how it could be an amazing revision for the IB DP, as well as being helpful in my medical career. This will help me when having to write lengthy lab reports but most importantly train me to research many topics for long periods of time from a young age to fire up my interests early on.
My goals:
my product goals are Teach and help revision for IB students (grade 11 and down) who were once like me struggling with biology or chemistry. I will learn to be more open minded and challenge my research skills by acquiring new information before my posts to communicate the most amount of detail to my audience, as well as learn how to manage a website to be relatable and learn to take constructive criticism for my viewers to fit my content into their liking and improve their experience. My learning goal is to learn how to code as that is something i have never come across, and In the future to expand my project further towards my career I will pursue another one of my big goals which would be to be a tutor as that is another interest of mine and amazing skill to develop towards my future.
Hope you are enjoying your experience!
So inspirational!
